Clinical Hypnosis

Clinical Hypnosis is a process whereby the client allows themselves to be put, or to put themselves, into a state of deep relaxation from which they are able to 'suspend belief' and take on suggestions which are made to them by their therapist or, following training, which they are able to make to themselves.

The British Society for Clinical and Academic Hypnosis (BSCAH) regulates medical, dental and psychologist practitioners who use clinical hypnosis as a supplementary tool alongside the treatments that they have been trained to use.

Clinical Hypnosis is particularly effective with anxiety disorders, (specific phobia, generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder, mixed anxiety and depression and post traumatic stress disorder), OCD and habit disorders, sleeping problems and sexual problems, as well as with general problems of assertiveness and self confidence.
